Quick Answer
The NECA TMNT 35th Anniversary 5-Pack includes the four 1990 movie Turtles—Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo—plus the Spirit of Splinter, all in a special Gold Star Loyalty Exclusive set.
Why This 5-Pack Stands Out
This set celebrates the 35th anniversary of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, making it a nostalgic pick for fans of the 1990 film. The inclusion of the Spirit of Splinter is a unique addition—you don't usually get a spectral version of the sensei in standard figure sets.
As a Loyalty Exclusive, this 5-pack is only available through the NECA Store, which adds to its collectibility. The catalog price is $118.99, compared to a $169.99 reference price, so it offers a notable discount for early buyers.
Who Should Consider This Set
If you're a TMNT movie purist, this set is a direct tie-in to the 1990 film, not the cartoon or comic versions. It's also a solid choice for collectors who want a complete display piece with all four brothers plus an extra character in one box.
On the flip side, if you already own individual 1990 movie Turtles, the main draw here is the Spirit of Splinter and the anniversary packaging. If you're not interested in the exclusive status or the extra figure, you might skip it.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Which figures are included?
- The set includes Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, and the Spirit of Splinter—all based on their appearances in the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
- Is this set exclusive to the NECA Store?
- Yes, it's a Loyalty Exclusive, meaning it's only available through the NECA Store and not through other retailers. Check the NECA Store directly for availability and any loyalty program perks.
- What is the price and value?
- The catalog price is $118.99, with a comparison price of $169.99, so you're getting a discount relative to the reference value. The set includes five figures, which breaks down to roughly $24 per figure. If you're comparing to buying figures separately, consider the per-figure cost and the exclusive Spirit of Splinter.
- Are these figures the same as other TMNT movie releases?
- Yes, they are the 1990 movie versions, so they match the film's designs. However, this set is specifically packaged for the 35th anniversary and includes the Spirit of Splinter, which may not be in other releases. If you already have the four Turtles, the Spirit of Splinter is the key differentiator.
- Can I pre-order or is it in stock?
- Availability can change, so check the product page on the NECA Store for current stock status and any pre-order options. Set a reminder or sign up for notifications if it's temporarily out of stock.
